Brad Price PaintingBrad Price will teach a two day workshop at The Depot, 200 S. Jones, on June 28 & 29, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day with a break for lunch.

Thursday will focus on composition, with Brad explaining the principles of composition and showing students how to apply that knowledge in creating landscape paintings of their own.  A landscape photograph will be projected on the wall for reference.  Paper and pencil will be provided for sketching. The final sketch will be on the canvas in pencil before the first day ends.  Some may have time to begin their painting.

Friday will focus on painting the student’s original compositions using the media of the student’s choice.  Students will bring their own paints and brushes.  Table easels and small canvasses will be provided.

Popular painting instructor Brad Price is a romantic, a backpacker, an impressionist, and a lover of high places. Through painting he makes an emotional visit to the scene he is painting. His style emphasizes contrast and bold complementary color.  He is represented by Meyer Gallery in Santa Fe and by other galleries throughout the southwest.  To view examples of Brad’s work, visit  https://meyergalleries.com/artist/Brad_Price/works/ or http://www.bradprice.net/artist.html

According to Price, art is experience and the sharing of experience. It is creating something new and beautiful for the world, and then sharing that moment with others.  Come share two fun and creative days with Brad and let him help you to create your something new and beautiful.

Tuition for the two days is $120.  Contact The Depot at 405 307-9320 for additional information and to enroll.
