The Depot Gallery and office will be closed until at least the end of May, 2020. We will reassess at that time. Phone messages will be checked regularly and calls returned. We do this out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health of our community.

Brad Price PaintingBrad Price will teach a two day workshop at The Depot, 200 S. Jones, on June 28 & 29, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day with a break for lunch.  

Thursday will focus on composition, with Brad explaining the principles of composition and showing students how to apply that knowledge in creating landscape paintings of their own.  A landscape photograph will be projected on the wall for reference.  Paper and pencil will be provided for sketching. The final sketch will be on the canvas in pencil before the first day ends.  Some may have time to begin their painting. 

Friday will focus on painting the student’s original compositions using the media of the student’s choice.  Students will bring their own paints and brushes.  Table easels and small canvasses will be provided.  

Popular painting instructor Brad Price is a romantic, a backpacker, an impressionist, and a lover of high places. Through painting he makes an emotional visit to the scene he is painting.
