The Depot Gallery is pleased to offer a second two day “Wonderful Watercolor” workshop, taught by artist Connie Seabourn. More people were interested in participating in the March workshop than we were able to accommodate. Connie has agreed to provide this second opportunity on Wednesday and Thursday, May 17 and 18, 2017 in The Depot, 200 S. Jones. Tuition is $120.
Whether you're just beginning watercolor painting or you want to add some powerful paint manipulations and techniques to your personal bag of watercolor tricks, this workshop is for you. An experienced teacher, Connie studied art at Oklahoma City University & Central State University before receiving her B.F.A. at the University of Oklahoma.
Connie works in acrylic, watercolor, pastel & prints, but is perhaps best known for her delicate watercolors. “Most of my work is ethereal, dreamy and narrative” says Seabourn, who became a full-time artist in 1980. Her watercolors were featured in The Depot Gallery in “Haunting the Mind: Beings that Fly”, in January and February 2016 and also appeared in Small Works VI in late 2016. She has exhibited extensively, is in many notable collections and has won numerous awards. See examples of C. Seabourn artworks on Facebook: connie seabourn art
The workshop will begin at 9:30 each morning and continue until about 4:00 pm in The Depot, 200 S. Jones. Connie suggests bringing a sack lunch so participants can work through lunch if they wish. Tuition is $120. Contact The Depot at 405 307-9320 to enroll.
Workshops and other programs at The Depot, a non-profit arts organization, are made possible in part by grants from the Norman Arts Council and The Oklahoma Arts Council.
