Kyle Reid and the Low Swingin' Chariots bring a joyful revelry of original swing tunes and more to Summer Breeze 2016 on Sunday, July 10. Music begins at 7:30 pm in Lions Park at Flood and Symmes. Bring seating and refreshments and enjoy a free, family-friendly musical evening in the park.
Kyle Reid leads the Low Swingin' Chriots playing tunes that draw from New Orleans, Gypsy Jazz, and Western Swing traditions. Reid's original tunes sound at once familiar yet new and exciting, blending elements of these classic American forms with contemporary attitude. The low sonorous quality of Reid's voice is well balanced by the hot accents of the rhythm section and the sweet melodies of the brass section.
Band members include: Kyle Reid, guitar and vocals; Steve Boaz, drums; Johnny Carlton, bass; and Kevin Stringfellow, trumpet, and David Leach on Bass & Trombone. The band's most recent album, "Alright, Here We Go..." was recorded live in studio to showcase the energy of this dynamic group.
