The Salsa Shakers Band is a salsa and Latin jazz band powerhouse comprised of some of Oklahoma City most talented musicians, a "super group" made of members from world music band Alegria Real and Latin jazz group the Latin Messengers. Founded in 2013 in Oklahoma City by percussionist Armando Rivera and bass player Raul Reyes, the Salsa Shakers Band was created with the intent to channel the growing divide between music and dance.
The group aims to motivate and inspire people to build communities and understanding through the sharing of music, dance and Latin American culture. This effervescent and charismatic band draws on their rich tradition to produce commanding musical presentations full of life, spirit and energy. Their sizzling and party atmosphere performance will get people up and dancing.
