Brad Price is BACK! We were mesmerized watching Brad work on his first visit to Depot TV. It felt like having a friend in the living room expertly creating just for us (and he reminded us of another TV painting instructor, especially when he said “happy accidents!”). Brad is back for the next three Thursdays to take us through the creation of a piece from start to finish. Brad Price is a nationally recognized artist whose brilliant work is shown at the Meyer Gallery in Santa Fe, NM and we are lucky to call him one of ours here in Norman. Join us Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 5pm on the livestream at www.facebook.com/PASNorman/live.
Brad Price is a romantic, a backpacker, an impressionist, and a lover of high places. Through painting he makes an emotional visit to the scene he is painting. His style emphasizes contrast and bold complementary color. Price attributes much of his development as a painter to his admiration and study of New Mexico’s early masters. The brush strokes are bold and directional in nature. They set up a rhythmic movement that directs the eye, guiding the viewer through the composition. His paintings are a total experience placed on canvas. According to Price, art is experience and the sharing of experience. It is creating something new and beautiful for the world, and then sharing that moment with others.
Brad Price is a highly collected fine artist. He has exhibited in Galleries in The United States and South America. Working primarily in oil, the Southwest landscape is his preferred subject. In 2012, Brad was chosen by the Mayor of Santa Fe, New Mexico as the cover artist for the Santa Fe Visitor's Guide. Find out more at www.bradpricefineart.com.
