Brandon HobsonThe Depot will feature a special reading by award winning Oklahoma author, Brandon Hobson, on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  The free reading begins at 2:00 pm.  All are welcome.

Brandon Hobson is the author of the recently released WHERE THE DEAD SIT TALKING.  He has won a Pushcart Prize and his fiction and nonfiction have appeared in such places as The Believer, The Paris Review Daily, Conjunctions, NOON, and in many other journals.  Previous books include Desolation of Avenues Untold, Deep Ellum, and The Levitationist.

WHERE THE DEAD SIT TALKING, published in hardcover by Soho Press in New York, has garnered praise from such esteemed writers as Brian Evenson, Laura Van den Berg, and Stewart O’Nan.  It has received a boxed, starred review in Publishers Weekly as well as getting positive reviews in The Dallas Morning News, Booklist, The Library Journal, Volume 1 Brooklyn, and The Brooklyn Rail.  It hit #1 on the Oklahoma Best Seller list.

Hobson holds a PhD from Oklahoma State University and teaches at Northern Oklahoma College. He is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation Tribe of Oklahoma.
