The reading begins at 2:00 in the Norman Depot, 200 South Jones Avenue. There is no admission charge. Light refreshments will be served.
Sargent, who has have lived in Norman since 1986, teaches Composition at OU. In addition to five published chapbooks, she also writes and publishes short stories. Her poetry has been included in numerous journals.
Although originally from Rhode Island, Sargent considers Norman her home.
While attending the poetry reading, the Performing Arts Studio invites visitors to enjoy the paintings of Sue Schofield in the gallery. “Forms Large and Small” will remain on view through July 25.
