An opening reception will be held for "A One Man Show,” exhibiting the paintings of Nathan Price in The Depot Gallery, 200 South Jones, from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, January 13, 2017. Price will present an Art Chat on Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm, demonstrating and discussing his painting techniques. An additional reception will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 6 to 9 pm. Both receptions are in association with Norman's 2nd Friday Art Walks. “A One Man Show” continues through February 26, 2017. Admission is free to the gallery and associated events.
Nathan Price is an artist with a unique, highly personal and varied artistic style. Working in both abstract and representational styles, he paints figurative pieces, whimsical portraits of animals, and Southwest scenes. His work touches the emotions. Price is represented in Santa Fe, New Mexico by Art Exchange Gallery on the Plaza. His work is highly collected.
Price is also a studio musician, album producer, graphic designer, and is a founding member of the Oklahoma rock group, BRONCHO, which tours worldwide. As a graphic designer he designs album covers and specializes in creative work for the music and recording industry.
Nathan and his father, Norman artist Brad Price, showed their work together in The Depot Gallery several years ago in a show titled “Generations,” which also featured work by Nathan's grandfather. Nathan's work has been shown throughout Oklahoma.
After having lived in Ft. Worth, Texas and Colombia, South America, Nathan attended high school in Norman. He currently resides and works in Tulsa.
