Whistle Stop concerts are held in the historic Norman Depot.
In the early days of rail a train would signal its approach to smaller stations by blowing its steam whistle. If the station had passengers, mail or freight waiting, the station would signal back to let the train know to stop. Hence the term "Whistle Stop." Similarly, The Depot is often contacted by touring artists who are passing through and looking for a venue. Thus was born the idea of the "Whistle Stop Concert." Impromptu, surprising, fun, and always of the same quality you've come to expect from The Depot.
