The Facility Director is a 25-30 hours per week position with office hours from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday through Friday PLUS opening and closing for rental events in the evenings and on weekends and/or managing staff to accomplish that task.

The Facility Director has primary responsibility for coordinating the events and rental calendars to see that no conflicts occur.

The Facility Director has full responsibility for booking Depot rentals including: responding to inquiries; managing the calendar; preparing and filing contracts; securing rental fees and deposits plus janitor fees; depositing those fees; arranging for janitor services as needed; and maintaining permanent records. In addition, this position requires preparing the Depot for each rental, putting away organization equipment and materials to provide a pristine space. Scheduling staff for opening and closing for each rental is also required, as is returning the security/damage deposit if all is in order. Setting the facility up again as train depot/office/gallery is required after rentals.

The Facility Director has primary responsibility for coordinating facility needs to include: ordering all supplies; assuring that paper towels and toilet tissue dispensers are filled and rest rooms clean; scheduling janitor and window washing services; alerting the City to maintenance problems and needs; and seeing that the Depot is neat and attractive at all times.

The Facility Director is also coordinator of AMTRAK hosting services from 8:00 to 9:00 am, Monday through Friday, opening the Depot for passengers, making coffee, answering questions; assisting passengers with problems and luggage tagging; and assisting passengers with parking (including giving tag numbers, etc. to Norman Police for long term parking variances) plus answering AMTRAK questions from walk-ins throughout each day.

The Facility Director also serves as the receptionist during the day, answering the phone, taking messages, hosting gallery and other visitors, and providing general clerical support including: maintaining membership records and mailing lists; opening mail; writing checks for signature; paying bills; filing invoices; handling gallery sales and computing/writing checks for commissions; entering financial transactions into Quick Books; and other related duties as required.
